The University Library constitutes one of the largest and prestigious literature and information resources in the Sudan. It hosts valuable and rare collections of both national and international importance. The University Library provides excellent and unique services to the various University Faculties, Institutes, Centers Staff & Students to support their learning, teaching programmes. It also provides various continuing professional development activities for its users. The Library has been continuously and actively developed since its establishment in the 1900s.  Its holdings amount several thousand titles across the wider Arts, Humanities, Law, Science and Social, Medical and Health Sciences. It maintains significant collections in History, Philosophy, Engineering and Education.
